Embalming Services

Welcome to Mortuary ServicesOur Embalming service is provided to Funeral Directors which involves the hygienic treatment of bodies while they await final burial or cremation to ensure the health and safety of any person that will come into contact with the deceased. This work is often conducted at our Client’s own premises usually a designated room within the Funeral Directors chapel of rest under our controlled conditions.

If facilities are unavailable or that extensive work is required we can arrange 24hr collection of the body to be treated at our very own ‘state of the art’ mortuary which is a fully equipped and modern mortuary facility where we can undertake our work in a private secluded and secure area on behalf of the Funeral Director. We have been known to travel much further away for specialist requirements or to assist in the repatriation of a deceased returning from overseas into the United Kingdom or vice versa.

Our Embalming Services include the hygienic treatment of both ‘Natural death’’ cases and those which have received a ‘Post Mortem examination’. Our procedures also enable us to remove specialist medical equipment such as catheters and heart pacemakers, etc often left in the deceased when released from hospital but required to be removed prior to cremation.

All our work procedures are comprehensively risk assessed to ensure that health, safety and environmental standards are maintained at all times and all of this backed up with the necessary insurance liability arrangements. While our embalming work is usually carried out between normal working hours we also cater for 24hr emergencies and weekends where required to assist the Funeral Directors working arrangements.

If you are a Funeral Director and would like to find out more about our work or how we could provide you with either a regular service or just a on-off service, then please do not hesitate to contact us by telephone on 07779 509506 or via e-mail on info@mortuaryservices.co.uk
